Join the Sanctuary Denver Facebook Group
“Wait,” you think to yourself, “didn’t I already do that?”
Maybe you did. Or maybe you just went to The Sanctuary Denver Facebook Page (facebook.com/thesanctuarydenver) and clicked “Like.”
(If you haven’t done this, by the way, you totally should.)
But there is also the Sanctuary Denver Facebook Group, which is something a little different. To help distinguish it a bit from our Facebook Page, we’ve named the group “Sanctuarians.” Because that’s who it’s for: you Sanctuarians. Which is to say, anyone who calls The Sanctuary Denver home.
How do I get there?
Go to facebook.com/thesanctuarydenver/groups. There you will see all our linked groups (including our Adventure Kids group, which might interest you parents). Click on “Sanctuarians” and then click “Join Group” if you aren’t already a member.
What’s the difference between a Facebook Page and a Facebook Group?
The biggest difference is visibility. A Facebook Page is accessible to anyone on Facebook, kind of like a website that is accessible to anyone on the internet. A Facebook Group is only accessible to members of the group. It’s not strictly “private” (Internet 101: assume that nothing on the internet is ever completely private) because we let just about anyone join, but it’s much less public than our Facebook Page. This makes it a great place to post needs, prayer requests, community help opportunities, etc. You can also see who else belongs to the group, meaning you can send them a friend request or a message to connect outside of church.
